Virtual Conference + In-Person Networking Engagements in select global locations
October 11 – 13, 2021

2020 accelerated a new normal that was always inevitable. Technology and business leaders were forced to accelerate their digital transformations by embracing the cloud and shifting from projects to products, all while facing severe cost-cutting pressures. Many were forced to rapidly reforecast and optimize their technology budgets as business conditions kept changing. For thousands of successful leaders, this situation stress tested and proved a new way of leveraging technology. They leaned on Technology Business Management (TBM) as their system to drive trusted decision making, enable new product-driven funding and value management models, and make cost-effective cloud migration and consumption decisions. TBM integrated line-of-business and technology leaders in their planning, funding, and execution of strategy. At TBM Conference 2021, you’ll hear from many CIOs, CFOs and other leaders on how TBM provides the command center for this complex new world so you can Futureproof Your Innovation!

2021 State of TBM Survey is Available!

The Technology Business Management Council is proud to announce the 2021 State of TBM Research survey,  which went live in late July. All TBM Council members are strongly encouraged to participate in this research by taking the survey. Please contact research@tbmcouncil.org with any questions.

You may take the survey here (20-25 minutes in duration). Once completed, you will receive the following:

  • A customized benchmarking report at the completion of the project in the Fall of 2021. This report will compare your responses to averages and ranges for industry, size and geography. The report will also share what our research shows are best practices for TBM and, more generally, value creation.
  • Invitation to a participants-only virtual meeting to discuss the findings. Here, Todd Tucker, VP of Standards, Education & Research for the TBM Council, will present the findings and discuss key observations from interviews and other primary and secondary research performed.
  • Participants holding or earning their Certified TBM Executive credential will receive credit for 2 hours of continuing professional education for the program.
  • Lastly, the TBM Council  will donate $25 for each qualified survey response to Girls Who Code, whose mission is to equip girls around the globe with the computing skills to be change agents in their communities.

Quarterly Meetings – TBM Strategy Communities

Going forward, most of our workgroups will be known as Strategy Communities. This new name reflects the intended purpose of these collaborations: to define and promote TBM strategies for specific challenges (e.g. getting started with and adopting TBM, governing public cloud services, implementing agile-at-scale approaches), roles (e.g. CFOs of IT), and vertical industries (e.g. banking, healthcare, government).

We are in the process of reflecting this change on our website.

The TBM Council’s quarterly meetings for our industry Strategy Communities and Special Interest Group(s) (SIGs) are going on now! To ensure the broader TBM Council membership has visibility, please find the recordings of the latest meetings below:

Interested in getting involved? Join a Strategy Community or Special Interest Group online, where you can RSVP for future quarterly meetings and engage with your peers. There’s still time to sign up for the following Industry meetings:

Update your Community Profile to Receive Targeted Communications

We’d love to curate TBM Council community content to deliver the topics that are most important to you! To do this, we need to know a bit more about you. Please take a few minutes and head over to your TBM Council Community Profile and update your Industry, your Job Role, your Specialties/Interests, and TBM Experience. The TBM Council Community will take it from there and start highlighting the areas that interest you the most!
