Hello TBM Council Members!
2022 marks the 10th Anniversary of the TBM Council! Through the last decade, the discipline of Technology Business Management (TBM) has shifted, adapted, and been modified to fit the intricacies of a unique business environment. Especially in the past handful of years, TBM has grown with the ever-changing roles of the CIO as Chief Digital Officer, Chief Monetization Officer, and Chief Transformation Officer.
A recent article by our Chairman, Phil Armstrong, discusses how TBM has evolved for the Modern Enterprise, “You must manage your cloud solutions, Agile development, and SaaS portfolio in the same way your organization manages every other part of its business. With this hyper growth of technology change, the TBM discipline has evolved to incorporate these new parts of the IT operating model.”
I encourage you to also take 15m to watch Board Member, Atticus Tysen of Intuit as he presents the ways which TBM has adapted over the years to continue to address the challenges faced by the modern enterprise – including cloud migration, projects to projects shifts in planning, and continue to show how technology investments are driving business value.

The 2022 State of TBM survey has been launched! This TBM Council research initiative strives to better understand the current state of TBM adoption, impact on business outcomes, and commonalities of successes and challenges across our member base.
